- 虽然zuola曾经有过一篇比较深刻的文章介绍GFW的工作原理，但是对于常常使用百度并且以维护国货为荣的同事们来说，这个“工作原理”显然太深奥了他们也没有兴趣看完。
- 有没有哪位大侠深入浅出并且效果显著地介绍GFW的存在以及它所带来的危害（集中于非政治因素，比如对于研究和知识掌握。我的同事们对于政治的东西没有一点兴趣，他们觉得就应该封锁那些“反动”的言论。原先引起我极大愤怒的wikipedia也因为被解封而不再具有典型性，这也略略减轻了GFW的刑罪）。

- 內地新一代的思想很難理解，讀牛津也不例外。有個博士生竟問王丹：你說，既然不能寄望黨領導改革。你所談的改革，其實就是要革共產黨的命！我們是否真的要民主？最重要是餵飽十三億人民，讓大家安定生活！若由你來管，我父母有沒有可能供養我來這裡讀書？
- 演講後，仍有學生與他繼續討論，中國可否行民主的問題，也包括上述這位博士生，這學生還向王丹拿名片。有個女學生問王丹：「90年代時你做甚麼？」他們連王丹要坐牢也不知道！王丹在八九後，除了93年短暫獲釋，大部份時間他都在監獄。
