In Meiping`s honor, Cheng has established a scholarship at Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, Pa., where most students are from working class backgrounds. ``Americans are always ready to see the good side of a stranger,`` says Cheng. ``There is incredible kindness here. I am grateful to America; in no other country could I have done what I have done here. I like to show my gratitude in a concrete way. This is now my country.``
